At the September 10, 2014 Board of Director’s Meeting the Board approved the 2014 Operating Budget as follows.
Operating Revenue $3,600,500
Operating Expenses $3,392,950

SRSRC is Going Green Again with Solar Power
In an effort to further reduce our carbon footprint and our monthly utilities costs, The Board approved installing solar panels on the Fitness Center roof. If everything goes as scheduled, New Day Solar should install the 25 kW DC system in February 2014. Once complete and in operation, the Fitness Center should produce enough solar power to offset our electrical bill by approximately $675 per month with a return on investment of approximately 6-7 years.

Aerobics Room is Powered by the Sun
In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, New Day Solar installed a 11.76 kW DC
system which consists of 48 Kyocera 245 watt panels and 48 Enphase micro-inverters.Monitor the systems p. roduction at https://enlighten.enphaseenergy.com/public/systems/GzVc189180
When you log onto the web system, and look at the top left side of the page, you can see two types of readings for the system, Energy and Power. Below is a brief description of each one, and how it relates to this system.
1) Energy. Electricity production is measured in a unit called a Kilowatt Hour (kWh). A watt hour is 1/1000th of a kWh. To monitor this, select “Energy: Today” on the left side drop-down menu. You will see how many watt hours each panel has made so far that day. If you divide that by 1000, you will find the kWh production.
2) Power. The wattage is the power rating of the solar panel. These Kyocera panels are rating 245 watts in Standard Test Conditions (STC). This means that the solar panels were rated 245 watts when they were put in a factory flash tester calibrated with perfect conditions. In real life, there are many factors that contribute to wattage loss, including time-of-day, time-of-year, ambient temperature, weather, angle, orientation, line-loss, inverter-conversion loss, and soilage. To monitor this, select “Power” on the left side drop-down menu and click on the arrow button; on average, you can expect to see about 77% of the STC rating midday but this will vary throughout the year.
• STC Rating (Standard Test Conditions)—245 watts
• PTC Rating (Practical Test Conditions)---220 watts
• 80% of STC rating – 196 watts
